The University of South Carolina's University 101
University 101 is a three credit hour letter graded course where we introduce students to how to be a successful college student. We teach them the knowledge and the skills and the behaviors and the attitudes to be successful in college. University 101 has just celebrated its 50th anniversary,. going stronger than ever, even though maybe because of the fact that I have not been its director for 25 years. But I did become the director after the first two years and it was the joy of my life to develop this experience which has helped thousands of students and significantly increased our success rates.
