The Role of Early Career Investigators in the Pandemic
The definition of early career investigator for this purpose was broadened traditionally, the ACR and ARP defines early career investigator as within five years from their terminal training. We wanted individuals from 2018 to 2021 period when we sent out the survey to have belonged in that early career or even training period. And so we contacted individuals that were ACR or ARP members registered as trainees, as well as individuals who attended the Rheumatology Research Workshop. As participants in any of these programs, they would have met that definition of early Career.
