The biggest benefit of domain-driven design is that you can communicate with non-technical colleagues about exactly what you're talking about. The most loaded terms in software engineering are customers and users, which mean completely different things depending on who you're talking to. "Every time I say the word customer, even if I'm talking about a piece of code that I've written, everybody knows what I mean," he says.
