The US Civil Rights Commission's Investigation of Voter Suppression Among African Americans
The US Civil Rights Commission conducted an investigation in 2002 and 2003 of voter suppression among African Americans. They concluded that if white votes and black votes had been rejected at the same rates, black people would have cast 50,000 more votes. In poorer counties, they don't have the little ATM machine for you to confirm your vote.
