The Virgin Horror Dichotomy

Dorcas is confused alone, amnesiac and so Severian falls into the role of protector and caretaker pretty easily with her. Njia is pretty hostile to Dorcas, one because yeah, she appeared out of nowhere but now she represents a conflict in Severian's attentions. And that's one of the reasons why she wanted to sit next to Severian. But all of a sudden she's on the outs. It's really frustrating for her and it starts making her a little bit harsher and more snappy.
