Herland, Couldn't Be a Stronger Bolder on the Nose Title

Herland was written in 1915, and tells the story of three young men who discover a land composed entirely of women. It's an all-family community producing only girls, and, um, only daughters,. The standoff is a work in the book is having to explain to the men how an all-female community works. She did write a sequel, which is a bisexual community so it's almost as if the utopia of women will ultimately be transcended by a world in which men and women can live together.
