Starmer's analysis of what the sort of structural, administrative deficiencies of the UK's data is pretty compelling and hard to fault. He was telling me a very interesting form of Prime Minister, and quite different to something we've had before. The big question with the Starmer government is how well can this aspiration for a new model of long-termist government survive in that culture? I guess we'll have to wait and see.
