The Importance of Understanding Yourself
Jesus uses the metaphor of a telephone pool in your eye. He says if you're seeing someone else's behavior, don't judge it as destructive or inappropriate. The first thing Jesus wants us to assume is that our vision is impaired. And so he clearly gets you on his side to just see here's reality.
