Ibn Caldoon - A History of Islamic Law in Suni Islam

The black death arrived in tunis in 13 forty eight. Both of emin caldon's parents had died of the plague. Plague also killed multiple other members of his family and some of his teachers, mohammed iban ibrahim al abili survived but he and most of the other surviving scholars all returned to fez. Iben caldoon was about 17 when all this happened, and he stayed in tunis for a while. When he was about 18, he got his first court position, and it was as a senior staff member to one of the most powerful men in tunis.
