I don't think there's too much that the US can do at this moment. It would take an incredible shift in something or other for the West to get back in there. There was a huge opportunity 10 years ago when the US was did have an air base outside Kyrgyzstan, but it gave up the base just like that. I'm not sure whether they can do any missile or weapons deals with Kazakhstan, most of that comes from Russia. They buy a lot of their equipment from Russia.
