The Political Economy of Decision Making
i think there's a further issue in the political economy of decision making. I mean, do you have policy makers or politicians with a longer horizon or not? i cant get it that the political economy constraint implies that people will be making more short term calls based on what the next electoral cycle is. And so but i refuse to say therefore that we need to get away from a much more democratic structure into world where you can have some benevolent dictator because the probability of getting a benevolent dictator is so low.
