The Pros and Cons of Appendage Closure

Long-term procedural success was seen in 84% of the CT unblinded and 72%. So again that is a lot of patients treated in the best case scenario who do not achieve long-term successful closure. I'd used it to adjudicate some cases where a trans-lzophageal echo struggles to sort out whether there's a clot in the left angel appendage. But again the actual numbers of successful closure without leaks is kind of sobering.
