Barry Sharpless's Second Nobel Prize for Click Chemistry
In click chemistry, you have reactions which happen under mild conditions with almost total efficiency and 100% yield. So if you like the holy grail of chemical reactions, there aren't very many of them as they say but those that there are are incredibly valuable. And I suppose, partly for dreaming of the possibility of making such reactions, that Barry Sharpless was awarded his second Nobel Prize.
