In practising mindful meditation there are really two stages, at least they are for me. You become reactive to things all the time. It's actually stimulus, concept reaction, concept response. And it's built in to everything. Somebody says, i'm sick, and you say, ah, like,  a couple of years ago last year, i had broken my achilles tendon. So for a whole tour i was on crutches.
