The Unforced Error of the United States Government

In 1904 there was an incident in Africa in Morocco when a Greek American named Ion Perdikaris was kidnapped by a warlord. John Hay the secretary of state to Teddy Roosevelt informed said at the Roosevelt was running for reelection that the United States government wants pedicaris alive or dead. This was a one person one guy obviously a much different world situation and Teddy Roosevelt was a much different person. I think that was just that that was an unforced error like anybody could have told you you're not supposed to say when an American isn't a job. And I think Matt you're right that people don't care but they can come to care if that attitude is fixed.
