Kotlin for Android Development
The company is adopting Kotlin as their primary language for Android development now, as opposed to Java. It seems like a pretty big endorsement of where Android is moving. There's an article about it called From Zero to Ten Million Lines of Kotlin. They have a bunch of reasons behind their switch, which was not a trivial switch but they had some pretty good reasons for doing it.
