The Importance of Having a Coma
Waking up to that is just, it's hard to put into words, to be honest. I was in a bed in a room on my own fully bandaged from head to toe. It was obviously difficult time being in hospital anyway, but the fact that there were still COVID restrictions and rules made it a thousand times harder because there wasn't visitors allowed or anything like that. The boys were in Bristol for around three weeks. So by the time I woke up from the coma, they were home living with Mike's parents then. That gave me some hope and some peace, but I still hadn't seen them so I was still going through hell in that aspect as well.
