A lot of progressives here in the San Francisco Bay Area have been sort of frustrated with Pelosi's centrism. Her job is to elevate issues that are important, obviously, to her constituency and to the Democratic Party. And it's one of the reasons I think it's always a better idea for leaders to come from safe districts.
