When we become granular with our emotions, it actually starts to activate what o scientists call the readiness potential in our brains. We create space between stimulus and response by recognizing that we arn't our emotion, we an't our thought. And then another thing that's really important that we haven't touched on yet in terms of emotional health, is to not over identify with the emotion.
