Carthage is about twice the size of Tyre and perhaps as much as three times its size. It's situated on an isthmus between two shallow coves where ships could be beached with a fine plane of flat ground by the shore leading up to a hill, the Bursa. At this point in time, Carthage didn't rule much of its hinterland aside from nearby Capbon. That territory would change in the coming centuries as the city became more aggressive and acquisitive.
