i love brumer because it's campy and ridiculous in a lot of ways. A five man team that runs france is feeling the government is fundamentally unstable. They have royalists on one side and jacobins on the other. And they don't know how to steer a course of moderation and order between these two extremes. There are conspiracies going on, but napoleon starts to manoeuvre the civilian plotters. So we can start to see him making a move.
