Abram's Offering Up the Promised Son in Genesis 22
In Genesis 12, Abram is at a crossroads between going west to the house of God and going east. He's symbolizing this mountain sanctuary by building an altar in what he calls Bethel and I. In verse 14, Lot lifts up his eyes and sees like Eve looking at forbidden fruit. And then we learn later on, so Lot chose for himself all the Jordan Valley and he journeyed east. That valley that looks like the garden of the Lord that's well watered, it's going to be an ashen heap rubble.
