Lefere taught at paris himself for almost two decades, spanning the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. He composed influential text books on aristotalian philosophy. For instance, his 14 96 introduction to logic became a best sellar. The heretical forbears he had in mind included such familiar names as abelard, marsilius of padua, john wycliffe and jan huss.
