What Happens to Nominal Rates?
David Beckworth: What do you think is going to happen to interest rates? Are we going to return to a secular stagnation type world where rates remain low? Bill English: I don't see any reason to think that real rates are going to be much higher, say five or 10 years from now. He says the Fed will bring inflation back down to two but it may take longer than they pointed to in the SCP.
