Damien was working for a startup called NITI net integration technologies Inc. They were trying to build an autonomous Linux server for small businesses. When they shut down the Montreal engineering office and offered to move us all back to Markham which is like a small suburb of Toronto I think most of us did know because why would I want to move from like this awesome city which is Montreal to this small suburb ofToronto? So he got another job in in Montreal doing not particularly interesting work check my lecting if you really care about it but then his brothers friend told him hey you should check out this Linux thing so Damien flew to Amsterdam what here was that like 2005 so that would have been 2009
