The Flight of the Toboga VOR
In 1936, universal time, the flight took off on runway two and left. The first part of the flight path was the 149 degree radial from the Toboga VOR. After takeoff, they made contact with central Panama at 137 and requested a heading of one to zero degrees to circle the large area of bad weather located in the Gulf of Panama. At 148, the flight crew reported being at flight level 250 and this is the last known transmission received by the flight controller.
