All the static type checkers still evolve at a much higher speed than Python and its annotation syntax evolve you get the new release of Python once a year those are the only times that you can introduce new annotated syntax. Nobody is currently excited about doing any work towards that but it doesn't mean that five or ten years from now the situation isn't different  at the moment.
