Brandon Johnson's Beef With the Chicago Teachers Union
The Chicago teachers union has put 1.2 million behind Paul Vallis Brandon Johnson, who is running for mayor of the city. The New York Times had concerns about the growing scope of influence and radicalism of the teacher's union before their preferred candidate landed in the runoff. "It reminds me of like Obama getting rid of his massive grassroots organizing," says CNN political analyst Tony D'Antonio. If any of this reporting is to be believed, it could prove vital if turnout remains around 36%.
