The Gift of Counsel
I think there's a certain maybe familiarity with counsel in our current culture and I see this in a lot of respects. And I think it can be overdone, maybe even to the extent that it paralyzes some people that they feel like they always have to take advice. The basic idea is that we as human beings are limited. We're just limited. So we often take counsel so as to supplement for some of those limitations. It's not just asking God, what does he, you know, what's his opinion on this stuff? This is always a good question.
