My Dad Left Because He Had to Catch Flight
I feel silly forever hoping things could be different. After the ceremony, the other graduates gather around the campus. They're all taking photos with their big families, with their proud parents. Today, I just have me and my husband. He knows exactly what I need. Even in these moments of disappointment, he puts his comfortable, warm arm around me and squeezes my waist. We take some selfies.
