Is Your Daily Calorie Target a Deficit?

If you're trying to lose about a pound a week, that's going to come with an energy deficit of around 500 calories per day on average or so. So ultimately, if you say need to lose exactly 20 pounds in 20 weeks to get to whatever physique you're wanting for a bodybuilding show, then like, yeah, you need to achieve that deficit every single day  to get where you want to go. If there's a day or two a week where you just say, you know what, there's a lot of other things going on. I just don't feel like being in a deficit today. You can just eat at your maintenance intake, like one or two days
