How to Keep Pacing Up Your Story
The key is figuring out what each scene's job is, and then making sure that it does. When you're building a character, give them multiple conflicts. Give them enough that you can carry an entire story with them. Sometimes the point of a scene does not have to be intense or exciting. If there's going to be a character set scene, the tension will keep it moving.
