"I was living life at artificial heights at untenable elevations," he says. "A lot of that was purposely contrived illusion just as the factors that bring but in which we all happily colluded because they were pleasant illusions" He said when shareholders continue to demand same kind of growth in a mature market there are only two possible ways to create the illusion of growth one is to cook the books and the other is to gobble up some portion of a competitors market claim it for a while telling your stockholders that this is real growth.
