The Future of Software Development

I think it's hard to predict what the threshold is for it being a really huge industry game changer, more than it is today. The industry as a whole, I think certainly we can say, is not upended right now today. It has not been. But the threshold is like, do the incremental changes get you to the industry as upended? Or does that require another unrelated breakthrough, which might take who knows how many years? I don't know if anyone knows.
