The Power of Confession

The authority to forgive sins belongs to Jesus alone, but he shares that authority through these apostles. So when you go to confession and you have your sins forgiven, you are receiving this exact thing that we're seeing here in John chapter 20. And if you've been to confession, you know what I'm talking about. There's an incredible piece that comes to you when you hear those words of absolution given to you.
