The Effects of a Ketogenic Weight Loss Diet on Resting Metabolic Rate

The study involved 71 participants who followed an energy-restricted diet for eight weeks. After that, they were entered into a four-week weight stabilization phase under dietetic support. And then they were given individualized diet plans for longer-term maintenance. The actual composition of that weight loss diet was more ketogenic. It was 70 to 130 grams of carbohydrate, 75 grams of protein and the remainder of that very little amount of energy to dietary fat.
