The Importance of Fear in Business
Fear is an excellent motivator, but it's also one of the single largest reasons for us to lose control and self-sabotage our business. We're hardwired for self-protection; sometimes that means remaining in our comfort zone. Perfectionism causes us to spend too much time fine-tuning the details of a project or allowing others to disrupt. Imposter syndrome makes us doubt ourselves so we can't believe we've earned anything.
We business owners are a unique breed. In addition to the many plates we spin and the responsibilities we have, we want to see our businesses move forward. And, whether you realize it or not, we have a destructive habit that, if left unchecked, can undermine our dreams, our team, and our vision—and that habit is self-sabotage.
