Phase Zero Practice in General Dental Practice in the United States
The average overhead in the United States for general dental practice still hovers between 68 and 72%. So if we're going to add 30% of average doctor compensation to that, you can tell that most practices are not very profitable. A phase one practice is 60% overhead plus or minus two; a phase two practice is 55% overhead. Phase three practice is 50% overhead plus/or minus two: this is the coveted black belt level. This is this gold standard that the DSOs are looking for. That definitely does not get me fired up.
