The Human Need for Religion
I think the human need for religion really comes out of two broad needs. One is the need to make sense of an incredibly complex world so religion gives you a frame that you know all the why's are taken care of and you're fine. The other is the need for belonging and community which in modern times has been disaggregated into organized religions. I think there's one more thing that I think we are all pre-2 which is fear and fear is you know is comes to at us in so many different ways but when we see them in a large number together we also like this comforted.
