Atheism - What Is It?

Atheism is a lack of belief in a god or god's period, period. A i used to believe that an atheist made the assertion that a god did not existi later learne is not the case. I think there might be some definition dout ther that actually does say that, but most atheists don't actually make that claim. If you read mister dawkins, he doesn't make that claim at all.
