In LA, Lee could be at home in his own bed every night. He was also able to make good money playing as many gigs as he wanted. If they could play for a drawing crowd just on the sunset strip, and get more money than they needed, why go anywhere else? Every time they ventured any further than San Francisco, they ended up dealing with dodgy promoters.
