Do You Honor Shiva?
In the Ramayana, there are two places in the Tulsi diasversion where Ram makes it very clear that unless one honors Shiva, one cannot come to Ram. There is a temple right at the very tip of India called Ramishwam. It's where Ram did Pooja to Shiva before going across to Sri Lanka to rescue Sita, his wife. Swami Randa is reported to have said when he had been thrown out of a temple one night and had to sleep by the riverbank where the mosquitoes were particularly fierce: "Oh, thank you, Ram"
