Doctors are trained to ask a follow up question after ther patient has presented the main reason for their visit. Doctors know that patients will often just present one thing and then somehow not say anything else. So they're trained ask, is there anything else i can do for you to day? It's in the manual. People know that doctors need help with this, so it's in the guidance. Now i'm going to show you a conversation analytic study. Although this comes from a quite different discipline to nudge, it actually shers some interesting features. The project was conducted by colleaguesin inthe states john heritage and others.
