Is There a Relationship Between Applications and Data Bases?

V two was connected to the same data base as v three, is r correct? And also in v three, even when done different v three applications were also connecting to the sameDataBase. At the time, it was better than a monolithic data base and a monolithic application layer. But it definitely also had issues, as you can imagine. So i don't want to jump ahead in this conversation, but like the problems that everybody who's feeling uncomfortable at the moment, you're right to feel uncomfortable, because that was an unpleasant situation.
