The Impact of Deicing on Flight Safety
The biggest increase in safety is the fact that now worldwide, typically, deicing happens a lot closer to runway. That means you don't have this 49 minutes between deicing and takeoff situation. It's not much of an issue for us typically, but in other airports in the north, you definitely see it in Denver specifically. I think it's really interesting to watch if you ever fly in a Denver in the winter. Anyway, always look out the window. Super cool. You can learn a lot. And encourage me to look.
