Jesus' Challenge to the Temple
In the concluding part of Matthew chapter 26, Jesus is seized by the mob with Judas. The setting of night highlights the urgency and the underhandedness of what is taking place. In his challenge to the temple, Jesus could be seen as a prophet like Jeremiah. This is an inversion or a reversal of Passover and its meaning.
