The Story of the How House Inn

The Howe family moved to damerascotta, Massachusetts after the war of 18 12. They built a stagecoach inn and tavern on elm and hodgdon streets that became popular with out-of-towners as well as locals. The children all showed themselves to be just as smart as the previousGenera smart, but also a bit eccentric. As a child, mary was convinced she could fly, so much so it said she actually jumped off the second floor balcony and crashed to the floor below.
