The Royalists Win the War of Independence
The declaration of independence, then ended up turning into a civil war. The Republicans who advocated for independence and the Royalists who still wanted to maintain ties with Spain. Despite the fact that the Republicans did see a number of victories, at least in the beginning, ultimately, the Royalists are the one who would actually win.
