Meyer: In chapter nine of the Old Testament, we are introduced to Judith. He says she is a woman who has discerning in judgment and quite virtuous. Meyer: She rebukes the elders for giving God an ultimatum on how long they can go without water before he will save them. Meyer: "She's not wise because she's learned so much; she's wise because she has her heart right"
