The Complex Dance of Gravity

Newton would say it doesn't matter if the Earth spins. As long as it's a perfect sphere, you should have same gravity. But in Einstein's picture of the universe, that spin does change the gravity of the object. So we are experiencing a different gravity from the Earth because it is spinning than if it was staying still. And so things around a black hole would also be experiencing a different effect from a spinning black hole versus a stationary black hole.
